Everything you need to know before you rack up on tour. Fargo-rated, fair, and run the same way at every stop across Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.
Fargo-Rated Races
Every match is handicapped off the official Heartland Area Billiards Tour Fargo chart — the gap between two ratings sets the race, so anyone has a real shot on any given night.
Call the 9
You must call the 9-ball. No slop wins — the money ball goes down on purpose or it doesn't count.
No 3-Foul Rule
Three consecutive fouls do not end the game. Play it out.
Winner Breaks
Winner breaks the next rack. A 9 made on the break does not count — keep shooting your turn; the 9 is spotted once your turn at the table ends. Template rack with the 2-ball in the back.
FargoRate Reported
Results are reported to FargoRate. Every match you play on tour builds your official rating.
Split Bracket Format
Most stops run a double-elimination split bracket — the field is divided by rating so the low side and high side each get a fair road to the money.
Handicap & Points
How races are set and how season points are awarded. Handicaps come straight off your FargoRate; points scale with the size of the field.
